 North was a decent wolf, with white paws others joked he was still growing into despite having not been a puppy for years. His fur was a dark brown unlike his father's gray that shone like finished steel and dappled into more shades than a painter could capture. It wove into paler brown before giving way to white. The space between his shoulders and eyes, where his hackles raised and lowered, was a coarse mess of dark, blackish brown hairs that ended long after his dark back ran into his hips and down his tail.
